Self help while waiting for an appointment for post vaccine reaction

Tips & useful resources

  • Some patients who have a reaction to the Covid vaccine have reacted very well when they have tried the protocol for treating acute Covid, i.e. the vitamins and minerals and a type one antihistamine, together with quercetin (a mast cell stabiliser), they have found that many of the symptoms have resolved. This is only anecdotal.

It is worth watching the following reliable websites for updates on research and the latest thinking on these conditions:

  • The vitamins and minerals that Dr. Peers suggests to her Long Covid clients are:

    • Selenium 100mcg daily

    • Zinc 15-30 mg daily

    • Vit D3 5000iu daily

    • Vitamin C either slow release 1500mg daily, or non slow release 1000mg three times a day.

    • Quercetin 500mg tds with meals

    • Nicotinic acid (no flush) B3 250-500mg daily. (This is NAD+)

    • liposomal glutathione 250-500mg daily as the strongest antioxidant

    • Omega 3 fatty acids

    • Ginko biloba for brain fog

    • Creatine 3-5gm daily for energy

If you decide you would like to try taking these supplements, please start with one at a time and record and track your symptoms as this will help you see any links between what you are doing and how you are feeling.

  • Dr. Peers also recommends a low histamine diet whilst you are feeling unwell.

  • Many patients have found neuroplastic retraining helpful and may want to consider it.
